ABSTRACT
Twelve adolescents receiving treatment from a hospital- based pain clinic were interviewed about their experience of receiving an initial multidisciplinary evaluation for chronic pain. Using Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR), categories and subcategories were identified based on adolescents鈥� perception of their initial appointment with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Findings suggest that exposure to multiple treatment options may have led to variability in the adolescents鈥� level of satisfaction/dissatisfaction with certain aspects of their care. Implications for practice and research are discussed.
