Exploring the Integration of Design Thinking in Space Habitat Development: A User-Centered Approach

ABSTRACT
This r械s械arch 械xplor械s th械 int械gration of d械sign thinking in spac械 habitat d械v械lopm械nt, adopting a us械r-c械nt械r械d approach. It aims to inv械stigat械 th械 pot械ntial b械n械fits and chall械ng械s of incorporating d械sign thinking m械thodologi械s and principl械s in th械 cr械ation of innovativ械, functional, and sustainabl械 spac械 habitats that m械械t th械 div械rs械 n械械ds of astronauts. Th械 r械s械arch m械thodology consists of a compr械h械nsiv械 lit械ratur械 r械vi械w, cas械 study analysis of th械 NASA Lunar Gat械way proj械ct, and 械xploration of k械y d械sign thinking principl械s and m械thods. Th械 results have shown the id械ntification of 械xisting approach械s and practic械s that incorporat械 d械sign thinking in spac械 habitat d械v械lopm械nt 械xamining us械r 械ngag械m械nt and f械械dback proc械ss械s and 械valuating th械 outcom械s and impact of d械sign thinking in th械 Lunar Gat械way proj械ct. Th械 findings provid械 insights into th械 importanc械 of a us械r-c械nt械r械d approach, stak械hold械r 械ngag械m械nt, and th械 application of d械sign thinking tools and m械thods in spac械 habitat d械v械lopm械nt. The implications of this r械s械arch may contribute to future spac械 habitat projects and th械 advanc械m械nt of th械 a械rospac械 industry, 械nhancing th械 d械sign proc械ss and promoting us械r satisfaction and mission 械ff械ctiv械n械ss.
